I wanted to take this roach character with features while getting a chance to showcase super expressive faces. I immediately looked up Ren & Stimpy. While they both are the best examples of this, something about Ren’s expressions really ratchet it up a couple notches. 

When it came to the wardrobe, I wanted to make a laid back look, incorporating a letterman jacket, jeans and Gordans (Jordan knock offs).

For the hair and face, I definitely wanted to give him a clean look while making a bushy beard.
